Why Are You More Expensive Than Others?

Cheap DJs will generally make the job sound easy and effortless, which is generally true for them, and that they have many years experience, they do it all the time and have done thousands of weddings. Number of events and “years of experience” don’t reflect the quality of those events. Remember: McDonald’s has “Billions of Hamburgers Sold,” but it doesn’t mean that it’s “fine dining.” Expensive DJs will be very detailed as to how intricate the position is and how much of a responsibility it is. Like everything else in life, “quality” and in-demand DJs generally cost more.

What Is Your Professional Entertainment Experience & Training?

We have both been in the wedding industry since 1989 gaining experience playing with a top rated 8-piece wedding band on Long Island. We began working in the DJ industry for the same company where we learned all the in’s and out’s of being wedding DJs. Additionally, we have been endorsed through the National Association of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E) as Endorsed Professional Entertainers (EPE) and attend continuing education through the American DJ Academy as well as attending workshops and seminars in all things related to the wedding industry.

How Much Should I Budget For My DJ?

You will hear from many vendors that you shouldn’t skimp on their services, but it couldn’t be truer in the case of DJ Entertainment. What Kind Of Music Do You Have?

Platinum Party Events has the best music needed for a GREAT party! At the time of this writing, we are holding thousands of songs on CDs & mp3’s. We constantly monitor the industries best and most current music trends and update our music library all the time!. Our music is updated so frequently that we will have all of your favorite tunes and requests. We also have all of your favorite party classics, and tunes from every era including Big Band, Motown, Disco, New Wave 80’s, Classic Rock n’ Roll, Alternative Rock, Top 40 R n B, Urban, Hip Hop, Dance, Club Music, Techno, Old School, Funk, and even more! If you are looking for a suggestion list, we can provide one to you. Also keep in mind, there is only time to hear around 12-15 songs per party hour.

What Kind Of Equipment Do You Use?

As a full-time professional DJ Company, we only use the most reliable, professional and state-of-the-art equipment. Although our talent, expertise, and musical abilities come first, our sound and lighting systems are the tools we use to perform. When our name, reputation, and mission to deliver the best celebration for you are on the line, we count on our tools to deliver amazing sights and sound trouble-free. We perform using completely digital sound system using both CD and computer technology. Creatively, this combination gives us ultimate flexibility to perform mixes never before possible. With the latest technology and backup gear built in and on site, you are guaranteed a fantastic reception worry-free.

Will You Be On Time For My Reception?

Yes. In fact, we will be early. We make all the arrangements for our arrival with your reception hall, and we arrive approximately two hours early to set up. Our equipment and microphones are then tested, tuned, and fully equalized to the room so your first guest hears perfection.

Do You Use Contracts And Are You Insured?

For peace of mind, of course we use written contracts and conduct our business professionally; however we never let the rules get in the way of good business. We are fully insured members of the National Association of Mobile Entertainers. We are very easy to work with, and our focus is on celebration and family.

A Retainer Fee Will Hold Your Date

In the Westchester wedding DJ industry, our dates are our “inventory” and therefore cannot be held without a contract and retainer. Even if you need time to decide which musical experience suits you, simply call to request a retainer contract. A small retainer fee will hold your date. The most important detail is that you secure your date with us. Then, we can help you design an entertainment experience that’s right for you.

Thomas & Laurie will be your Hudson Valley wedding DJ & MC for your day and are also the owners of the business. Both are professionals in the wedding industry with years of experience as a DJ, light and sound production, musician and event planning.
